Mothers are gentle, warm, loving, selfless, caring, compassionate, patient and comforting.

Mothers are hard, heartless, mean, judging, self-centered, your worst enemy and down right hateful creatures.

I have to be fair and give both sides of the story. One is from a Mothers view and the other from a young childs view. I remember when I was a teenager I thought my mom was my worst enemy. She did not believe I knew what was best for me, she did not like my friends, she made me do things I did not want to do. My life was all about what my mom wanted, not what I wanted.

As an adult I now know that my mom was my best friend. She was teaching me, protecting me, loving me and nuturing me. She definately knew what she was doing even when I did not understand and thought the worst of her. She never let on how much it hurt her to be so selfless. She has given me more love than I ever thought possible. Because of her love I have the chance to share that love with my children.

Being a mother is the most precious gift I ever recieved. The most precious love I could ever feel. Being a mother changes the way the whole world looks and feels. Being a mother is truely being gentle, warm, loving, selfless, caring, compassionate, patient, comforting, hard, heartless, mean, judging, self-centered and your childs worst enemy!
